It is clear that people across the UK need and want change. This fact has been clearly expressed in the vote to leave the European Union, with its slogan of ‘take back control’. However, the real change we need – political, economic, social and ecological  - won't happen just because we are leaving, and it certainly won't happen under the direction of Boris Johnson. We are saddled with a failing political and economic settlement, which the British Prime Minister and the rest of his class, continue to favour, for the simple reason that they are the ones who benefit from it.
